What is a group tour, we normally travel independently?
An Encompass tour will take all the hassle out of your holiday.  We do all the planning and bookings so you can devote your time to seeing, hearing, tasting, and enjoying the places you have chosen to visit.  Having a Spanish speaking Tour Leader makes you feel more secure, and having companions to share your experiences with can double the sense of fun and adventure and even encourage you to participate in activities and go places you might not attempt on your own.

 What is the maximum group size?
The maximum group size is 8 people for all of our tours.

What is a Tour Leader and what is their role?
Our expert tour leaders are there for the full length of the tour to introduce you to local culture and history, to organize daily activities and handle all the logistics. They know the best places to go for dinner, where to get the best coffee and what time that amazing bakery opens!

What kind of people travel with Encompass Tours ?
There is no specific criteria regarding the type of people that may join a tour.  If you have an interest in learning about a new culture, want to see some amazing flora and fauna, hike some beautiful trails, treat yourself to a day at a spa, try new and exotic foods and learn to salsa whilst making some great long lasting friendships then YOU are the type of person that will travel with us! The recommended age range is over 18 which gives our groups a great mixture of different people.We can do family groups on our holidays in Cuba with children under 18 by special arrangement.

Do Encompass Tours cater for single travellers?
Definitely, we appreciate that being a single traveller can be costly and hard to organize, let us take care of it all! All tour prices are based on 2 people sharing which means as a single traveller you will be sharing a room with one other person from the group of the same sex, we do not use triple rooms. If you like the idea of a group tour but would prefer to have you own room just send the Encompass team a quick message through the enquiries form and we will get back to you with full pricing details. we try our best to keep single supplements to a reasonable price.

What kind of accommodation will we be staying in?
The Encompass team put a lot of time and effort into research so you don’t have to. All of the hotels and guest houses that we use are very comfortable with great facilities, they are mainly family run establishments as we are committed to creating local employment and additionally we believe this helps you get a closer appreciation of the local culture.

For our Cuba holidays we stay in bed and breakfast style accomodation. Please go to the Cuban section for information about accommodation in “Casa Particulare”.

What type of transport will we be travelling in?
In Guatemala and Panama we  use private transport, of a type and size dictated by number on the tour, they all have air conditioning. For the Cuba tours the transport will be a mixture or air-conditioned coaches, private taxis, and bici taxis!.

When we have made full payment for our tour, what additional costs can we expect?
The tour cost covers all of your accommodation and transport whilst on tour, a tour leader, local guides and included excursions. Breakfast is included with all Encompass Tours. You are responsible for international flights; transfers, pre or post tour accommodation and your own day to day spending money.

Can I book pre or post tour accommodation and airport transfers?
Absolutely, just make the enquiry at the same time as you book your tour.
